Dicas de alimentação para ciclistas e praticantes de Mountain Bike

A alimentação é ponto fundamental para qualquer ciclista. Neste artigo, iremos dar algumas dicas para melhorar seu desempenho no ciclismo, tendo como base a dieta!

Não importa se você é praticante de ciclismo de estrada, ou de MTB, uma dieta balanceada é o grande diferencial que você terá para ter um melhor desempenho.

O fato de estas atividades serem de alto gasto calórico, faz muitos praticantes terem a errada percepção de que podem comer de tudo.

A manutenção de uma boa dieta é fundamental. Primeiramente, para que os nutrientes que são necessários para um bom desempenho na prática. Segundo, que com uma dieta desbalanceada, você pode engordar, o que vai invariavelmente, reduzir seu desempenho.

A dieta para ciclistas, precisa levar em conta o gasto calórico, a regeneração e as necessidades de cada um. Por isso, não há fórmulas prontas.

Dicas de alimentação para ciclistas

1- Carboidratos, proteínas e boas gorduras são as bases

Os macronutrientes (carboidratos, proteínas e gorduras) são a base para uma dieta equilibrada. Aqui, o tipo de distância que o ciclista percorre, influencia diretamente na escolha dos alimentos.

Se forem distâncias mais longas, o ideal é usar doses maiores de carboidratos e boas gorduras. Caso o ciclista utilize distâncias mais curtas, mas que exigem mais potência muscular, precisamos adaptar isso.

No geral, não há segredos. Comer proteínas, gorduras e carboidratos de boa qualidade é fundamental. Se possível, em todas as refeições principais.

2- Vitaminas e minerais são fundamentais

Todo ciclista precisa de uma boa dose de alimentos ricos em vitaminas e minerais. Caso contrário, algumas reações metabólicas não serão tão eficiente e irão prejudicar seu desempenho.

3- Hidrate-se

Muitos ciclistas pecam em não se hidratar corretamente. Mas não estou falando de se hidratar apenas alguns minutos antes de ir treinar. Hidratação precisa ser constante, feita de maneira contínua, mesmo em dias que você não irá treinar.
