O que avaliar ao procurar um nutricionista esportivo?

O nutricionista esportivo é um profissional fundamental para que você tenha melhores resultados em seu treino. Mas como encontrar um bom profissional? O que avaliar? É o que iremos mostrar neste artigo!

A dieta é uma das 3 bases para que você tenha bons resultados. Juntamente com o treino e o descanso, é na dieta que iremos ter o foco para atingir os objetivos traçados previamente.

Neste momento entra em jogo o profissional responsável por prescrever a forma como a dieta será feita: o nutricionista esportivo.  Este profissional, irá analisar as variáveis e suas individualidades, para traçar a melhor estratégia alimentar.

Porém, como no caso de milhares de outras áreas, existem alguns pontos que precisam ser analisados para que você contrate um bom profissional.

Nutricionista esportivo, o que avaliar antes de contratar um?

Existem muitos elementos que devem ser analisados ao contratar um nutricionista esportivo. Há profissionais fantásticos no mercado, outros nem tanto (assim como na educação física e qualquer outra área).

Com base no que eu já acompanhei do trabalho de muitos nutricionistas, estabeleci uma lista com alguns pontos fundamentais para você avaliar ao buscar o acompanhamento de um profissional.

1- Formação

Eu perco, pelo menos de 2 a 3 consultorias por dia, por não prescrever dieta para os alunos. E sabe por que eu não prescrevo? Por que eu não sou nutricionista! Simples.

O nutricionista é um profissional que passou de 4 a 5 anos em uma faculdade, estudando todo o contexto nutricional. Há muito a ser estudado nesta área. Quem acha que basta “contar calorias” e prescrever uma dieta com base em achismo, está redondamente enganado.

O nutricionista precisa avaliar o contexto, as necessidades calóricas e nutricionais de cada indivíduo, encontrar uma combinação de alimentos e suplementos que supram isso e principalmente, pensar na forma como estes nutrientes serão disponibilizados para o organismo. Chamamos este último de biodisponibilidade, um dos elementos fundamentais para que você tenha sucesso em sua dieta.

Por isso, você precisa, necessariamente, fazer sua dieta com um profissional capacitado com curso superior. Mas este curso superior tem que ser obrigatoriamente em nutrição, ok?

Aquele seu “amigo” que entende tudo de “suplementos”, nada mais é do que um aventureiro (ou oportunista). E se você acha que ele entende mais de nutrição do que os profissionais formados, é por que suas referências estão muito abaixo do que deveriam estar.
